In support of our church’s commitment to the Lancaster County Council of churches’ food pantry, the Knights of Columbus council here at St. John Neumann Church will hold a summer food drive on July 21/22. Parishioners are encouraged to pick up a bag and a list of needed items after Masses on July 14 and 15, fill them and return them on the way into church the following week, July 21 and 22.

Canadian Island of Coudres Trip

Mount St. Mary’s has Something for Everyone

Mount St. Mary’s University is offering exciting summer experiences for all ages: Project Discovery Enrichment Camps for ages 6-13; CSI Camps for ages 14 through adults; CRUX Adventure Camp for Kids – Ages 11-13 and 14-15; Grandparents University for a two day experience for grandparents (or grandparent figures) and their grandchildren; Scripture Institute for adults to discuss Scripture and the Moral Life for two days; and Catholics and the Death Penalty: Building on the Momentum Toward Death Penalty Repeal – a two day conference (attend one or both sessions) for those wanting to leave with a better understanding and deeper commitment to repeal. Starting in late May, free Wednesday evening live music will be held as well as a free outdoor movie on July 6th. The public is invited to attend all events. Last free Outdoor Summer Movie

Mark your calendar for our last free outdoor summer movie – with free popcorn – at Mount St. Mary’s University’s Echo Field. On Friday, July 6 The Wrath of the Titans (PG13) will be shown. Movies begin at 9 p.m. In cases of inclement weather, all is moved indoors to Patriot Hall. This is a free event open to the public. Bring a blanket or chair and feel free to bring beverages. Free Jazz Clinic

Want to play better sounding jazz? Come to a free jazz clinic on Wednesday, July 25 from 5:30 to 7p.m. at Mount St. Mary’s Delaplaine Fine Arts Center’s Horning Theater. Led by world class jazz musicians and jazz educators, attendees are encouraged (though not required) to bring their instruments. Free Outdoor Live Music

Come to Mount St. Mary’s free live music series – Wednesdays at the Fountain, featuring topnotch performers in all genres. The series is held at the Patio by McGowan Hall and takes place every Wednesday in June and July (except July 4) from 8 to 10 p.m. In cases of inclement weather, the music is moved indoors to the Mount Café which will be open all hours for anyone interested in hot snacks and refreshments. The concerts are free and open to the public. Feel free to bring a chair or blanket.
